Two Faces of Thailand: Amari Bangkok & The Sarojin Khao Lak
Thailand has a way of holding you in two places at once; one foot in the sensory overload of the city, the other dipped in the hush of the Andaman Sea. It’s this effortless shift from urban buzz to barefoot bliss that makes it the perfect destination for a city and beach escape.

How To Organise A First Trip to Thailand
Calling Thailand the Land of Smiles might seem like setting the bar a little high, but after spending three weeks there, I found the name surprisingly fitting. While not everyone wore a smile, the warmth, friendliness, and helpfulness I encountered everywhere more than lived up to the reputation.

NH Bangkok Sukhumvit Boulevard
The NH Bangkok Sukhumvit Boulevard has 307 rooms and suites with eight different room types across 25 floors. Some rooms have private balconies and terraces. Our deluxe room on the 12th floor had floor-to-ceiling windows and overlooked Bangkok’s Skytrain, which moves commuters around the city on an elevated track.

Spoilt for choice By Amari Koh Samui restaurants
Amari Koh Samui has three restaurants, providing guests with a choice of cuisines from traditional Thai to Italian. You may fancy a Romantic Dinner on the beach one night, enjoying a luxurious Thai menu prepared by the Amaya Food Gallery, while ordering pasta at Prego the following day. You can enjoy a range of healthy breakfast and brunch options at Amaya Cafe or treat yourself to an afternoon slice of cake or a Thai dessert. Both the Amaya Food Gallery and the Amaya Cafe offer a diverse menu, allowing you to select a delicious Thai meal while the kids tuck into a pizza. This provides a flexible approach to menu selection, making it suitable for a family resort. Whatever combination you prefer, you will be looked after by excellent staff and enjoy a good meal. The friendly team at Reception will make your restaurant bookings for you.

The genuine warmth of the welcome at NH Collection Samui Peace Resort could not have been kinder and set the tone for our three-night stay at this fabulous resort, where we were treated with great care. Most top hotels will respond to one’s requests. The really good ones anticipate one’s needs.

The Peninsula, Bangkok – 6 Star Luxury
Taxi drivers in any city are often a great source of wisdom. As we sat stationary in Bangkok’s notorious traffic on our way to The Peninsula, a renowned luxury hotel, our driver exclaimed several times, ‘Six-star hotel, best in Bangkok’. He was right, a 5-star rating does not begin to do justice to what is on offer here.
